With the fan oven function, the fan blows hot air at a steady rate and distributes the heat evenly throughout your combination microwave oven. This not only gives you a crisp finish but also lets you heat up multiple dishes at once. The biggest difference from other functions, such as top and bottom heat, is that the fan oven function heats all the walls at the same time. This allows you to regulate the temperature very precisely. Heating several meals, oven dishes or other foods at once is easy in this setting. How do you recognise the fan oven function on your combination microwave oven? Look among the symbols for the fan icon. That’s the sign for a fan oven. Sometimes you’ll see a fan with a line underneath or above the symbol. That’s the top/bottom heat function, which is not the same as the fan oven function. Do you have an oven? Then you’ll recognise these same symbols on your electric oven or fan oven. We’re also happy to help you understand what the symbols on your oven mean.
