At MediaMarkt, you can return your purchase for free for 30 days. You can do this both online and in any of the 29 MediaMarkt stores. Products purchased via external sellers (Marketplace) have their own return policy. For more information on this, please contact [email protected].
If your product meets the return policy and the desired product is in stock at the store, you can exchange it immediately. If it's a large item like a washing machine or refrigerator, please contact us via the contact form.
You can return a product purchased at MediaMarkt in any store or by mail within 30 days of receipt, provided it meets the following requirements:
- The product is complete with all accessories,
- It is in perfect condition,
- It is, if reasonable, in its original packaging.
You may inspect and test the product as you would in a store. For example, you may inspect a deep fryer from all sides, but do not use it if you still wish to return it.
We ask that you return the product in such a way that we can give it a second life through the MediaMarkt Outlet.
This way, we contribute together to the sustainable use of electronics. The following products and services cannot be returned:
- Trading card packages, video media, audio media, and software with a broken seal (such as CDs, DVDs, games)
- Services or subscriptions that have been used
- Prepaid packages
- Personalized products
- Telecom subscriptions taken out in-store, as well as remote telecom subscriptions for which the statutory 14-day withdrawal period has expired
- Sealed products that cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons and whose seal has been broken
- Hygiene products such as toothbrushes and pet products that have been used
The following products and services can only be returned in-store:
- E-scooters, e-bikes, hoverboards
MediaMarkt reserves the right to assess returned purchases. If, during this assessment, MediaMarkt determines that the product is damaged or that additional work is required to make it resellable (such as repackaging/sealing, replacing missing parts, or relabeling), MediaMarkt may apply a depreciation. The depreciation applied will be equal to the costs MediaMarkt incurs to restore the product to a suitable condition for resale.

Returning it in store (excluding marketplace products):
- Bring your product, complete and in its original packaging, to one of our stores.
- We will inspect your product in store and assist you immediately. You will receive a refund, can exchange it for another product, or we will repair it.
Returning it by mail (Packages and TVs up to 45 inches, excluding marketplace products):
- Register your return via our online returns portal.
- After registering, you will receive an email with the shipping label and shipping instructions.
- Prepare your product for shipping:
- Pack it securely – you are responsible for ensuring it arrives in good condition.
- Check that the product is complete and includes all accessories.
- Remove any personal information or accounts (such as Google Lock or Apple 'Find My iPhone') if necessary.
- If you are using the original packaging, don't forget to remove the old label.
Home pickup (large or heavy appliances such as washing machines or TVs larger than 45 inches):
- Large and heavy appliances that we delivered to your home cannot be returned to the store. We will collect these products free of charge. Schedule a pickup via our contact form.
Marketplace products (not sold by MediaMarkt):
- You cannot return a Marketplace order to a MediaMarkt store. Don't worry, we're happy to help. Send an email to [email protected] to request a return label. We'll make sure you're helped quickly.

The following products and services cannot be returned:
- Video media, audio media, and software with a broken seal (such as CDs, DVDs, games).
- Services or subscriptions that have been used.
- Prepaid packages.
- Personalized products.
- Telecom subscriptions taken out in-store, as well as remote telecom subscriptions for which the statutory 14-day withdrawal period has expired.
- Sealed products that cannot be returned for reasons of health protection or hygiene and whose seal has been broken.
- Hygiene products such as toothbrushes and pet products cannot be returned if they have been used.

Online purchase
- You will automatically receive the invoice by email as soon as your order has left our warehouse.
- You can easily find your invoice in your account overview under "My Order." When you open your order details, you can download a digital copy using the "Request Invoice" button.
In-store purchase
- You received an invoice or receipt in-store. Have you lost the invoice for your in-store order? You can contact us via our contact form.
Register return
You can return a product purchased at MediaMarkt in any store or by mail.
Returning it in store (excluding marketplace products):
- Bring your product, complete and in its original packaging, to one of our stores.
- We will inspect your product in store and assist you immediately. You will receive a refund, can exchange it for another product, or we will repair it.
Returning it by mail (Packages and TVs up to 45 inches, excluding marketplace products):

Yes, you can return your product to one of our stores, with the exception of Marketplace products.
Did you pay in cash? In our stores, we'll refund amounts up to €500 in cash. If the amount is more than €500, or you didn't pay in cash, we'll refund the amount to your account.
You can't return a Marketplace order to a MediaMarkt store. Don't worry, we're happy to help. Email [email protected] to request a return label. We'll make sure you get help quickly.
Large or heavy appliances delivered to your home cannot be returned to a MediaMarkt store. We will collect these products from your home in Belgium free of charge. Please contact us via the contact form to see which products are involved and to schedule a collection. Once the product has been inspected at our logistics center and is found to meet the return policy, we will refund the purchase price, including any installation costs.
You may have placed the order using a different MediaMarkt account. Log in with the email address you originally used to purchase the product. You'll automatically receive the invoice by email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. So be sure to check your inbox (and spam folder).

Absolutely. You can return all the products in your order separately. You can indicate which product you'd like to return on the online returns form.
If you return a product purchased with a service, the service itself will not be refunded if it has already been performed. The service has already been provided and is part of the order.

Return process

- Return in store (except for Marketplace products): Bring your product, complete and in its original packaging, to one of our stores. We'll check your product in store and assist you immediately. You'll get a refund, can exchange it for another product, or we'll repair it.
- Home pickup (large or heavy appliances such as washing machines or TVs larger than 45 inches): Large and heavy appliances that we delivered to your home cannot be returned to the store. We'll collect these products free of charge. Schedule a pickup appointment via our contact form.
- Marketplace products (not sold by MediaMarkt): You cannot return a Marketplace order to a MediaMarkt store. Don't worry, we're happy to help. Send an email to [email protected] to request a return label. We'll make sure you're helped quickly.
You can find the status of your return in the track & trace section. Once the product has been delivered to us, we will process it within one business day. After processing, we will send you a confirmation email and initiate the refund. We will notify you again once the refund has been processed. You will also receive your credit note in that email.
In-store returns: If you return your product to the store and it meets the return policy, we'll refund your purchase price immediately. Amounts over €500 will always be refunded to your bank card for your and our protection.
Home pickup: Once we've processed your return, we'll refund you within 5 business days. Refunds are always made using the same method you used to pay for the product. The time it takes to reach your account depends on your payment method:
- Bancontact: 2-3 days
- Credit card: 8 days
- Gift card/e-voucher: 8 days (you will receive a new digital gift card by email)
Return extra large products
To ensure a smooth pickup of a large item, you can make the necessary preparations yourself:
- Read the email from the carrier. It contains product-specific instructions for transporting the item.
- Make sure there's enough space and that you remove any fragile items, such as a shoe cabinet, mirror, or stair gate.
Large and heavy appliances that we've delivered to your home cannot be returned to the store. We'll pick these up free of charge. Schedule a pickup appointment via our contact form.
