How do you determine the dimensions for your built-in dishwasher?

A grey, rectangular dishwasher is shown with its door slightly ajar, revealing a red and silver edge. The background is plain white.

    Door-to-door system

With the door-on-door system, the front panel of your kitchen is directly attached to the dishwasher door. Both doors move as if they were one door. The front panel does not move separately from the dishwasher door when you open it.

An advantage of this system is that you only need one hinge, which makes installation relatively easy.

    Sliding door system

The sliding door system for your built-in dishwasher works with the help of so-called guides. When you open the door of your built-in dishwasher, the front panel moves along these guides. The door and the panel are therefore not directly attached to each other, but move simultaneously with each other.

An advantage of this system is that it is widely used and can therefore be installed in almost any kitchen.
