Following the success of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16e, Apple has introduced a completely new generation of iPhones. New to the lineup is the iPhone Air, a slim and lightweight model made of titanium. The iPhone 17 itself boasts numerous improvements: an extra-bright display with 120 Hz ProMotion on all models, new A19 chips, with the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and Pro Max receiving the powerful A19 Pro, and a camera system featuring multiple 48 MP lenses, complemented by an upgraded 18 MP front-facing camera. There are also updates in connectivity: Apple has introduced the N1 chip, supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Additionally, all models now support eSIM, with the iPhone Air taking it a step further as the first eSIM-[Sv2] only model.
In 2026, the iPhone 17 series gained a new model: the iPhone 17e. Compared to the iPhone 16e, this model introduces several improvements, including MagSafe support. The iPhone 17e serves as the entry-level model in the iPhone 17 series.
