Material
Yima garden chair is made of a maintenance-free aluminium frame with a sturdy powder coating. Around this aluminium frame is 5 mm thick high-quality light grey coloured rope. This rope can be compared to rope used in shipping. The rope has a rubber core inside with several polyester threads for strength. Surrounding the rubber core is solution dyed polyester rope. This means the rope is coloured through and through and discolours much less quickly.

Maintenance
Aluminium can become dirty from splashing rainwater or spilt drinks, for example. This is easy to clean with soapy water and a soft cloth. The solution-dyed polyester rope is easy to clean with a soft brush and the cleaner for rope from Garden Impressions. Once the rope has been thoroughly cleaned with the cleaner, rinse with plenty of water. When the rope is dry again, it should be treated with a protector. The protector will make your rope water-repellent. It is advisable to do this at least twice a season, especially the tangible parts.

Cushions
The thick cushions supplied are made of high-quality polyester. The cushions have a zip which makes the covers easy to wash by hand. The cushions are not waterproof and can be stored in the shed or in a cushion box after use. However, the cushions do have a water-repellent coating.
