Smoke detector obligation from July 1, 2022

From July 1, 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every living floor in your house and in enclosed spaces where a escape route passes through. The Building Decree will be amended, and therefore it will become a legal obligation to comply with this. This applies to both owner-occupied and rental properties, and both existing and new construction.
