The PlayStation 5 has an internal storage capacity of 825 gigabytes. For standard use that’s more than enough, but for experienced gamers it quickly becomes too little. That’s why you have the option of replacing your PS5’s SSD. Choose an NVMe SSD for this, also called an M.2 SSD. The following sizes are compatible with the PS5: 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110. The height may be a maximum of 11.25 millimetres. The minimum required speed is also an important factor. It must be able to read at least 5,500 MB/s sequentially. Also make sure that the drive is compatible with at least PCIe 4.0.
