Step 1: get the right essentials
To place your washing machine and tumble dryer on top of each other, you’ll need a universal stacking kit and a spirit level. Ask a second person to help so you can lift the dryer together.
Step 2: place the washing machine first
The washing machine always goes underneath the tumble dryer, not the other way around. A washing machine is much heavier than a dryer and it also vibrates during the spin cycle. By placing the dryer on top, you create a stable setup.
Step 3: level the washing machine
Is your washing machine in the right spot? Check that the appliance is level. This prevents excessive movement and stops the machine from shifting. For extra certainty, you can get vibration dampers or an anti-vibration mat among the washing machine accessories. Place these under the washing machine’s feet.
