According to the latest rumors, the new Samsung Galaxy Z series is expected in the summer of 2026. These new devices are said to be announced during the Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July in London. This fits Samsung’s usual summer schedule for foldables.
For the Galaxy Z Flip 8, TechPulse suggests that Samsung is working with a combination of Exynos and Snapdragon chips, with the exact chipset depending on the region. In Europe, the expectation is an Exynos 2600. For the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra/Wide, most sources expect the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Samsung is expected to focus heavily on Galaxy AI again. Although there are still few concrete rumors about new AI features for the Galaxy Z series, some sources expect further expansions of existing features such as Live Translate, Note Assist, Circle to Search and smart summaries. New AI capabilities that recently appeared on Galaxy devices, such as priority notifications and automatic file summaries, could also make their way to the new foldables.
