DESCRIPTION

The CAT6A IDC 4PPoE patch cable is suitable for use in plenum spaces and raised floors due to the LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable jacket. The cable is designed for use in 4PPoE / PoE++ 100W applications and is ideal for use between equipment that requires higher power, such as network switches and security cameras or access points. The patch cable has fully copper 24AWG cores and 50µ gold-plated contacts that are attached via the IDC method. The patch cord complies with the international standard ANSI/TIA-568.2-D.

Suitable for 100W 4PPoE

The ACT 4PPoE type 4 patch cables are suitable for use in applications that require 100W, such as security cameras or an access point. Only one patch cable is required for power and network. Ideal as cabling between PoE network switches and security cameras or access points.

Insulation Displacement Contacts (IDC)

The connectors on this cable are attached using the IDC method, while standard patch cables usually use the Insulation Piercing Contacts (IPC) method. IDC is the most durable and stable option. With the IDC method, the cores make maximum electrical contact through the V-shaped clamp in which they are stuck. The resistance is much lower compared to the IPC method where the cores are pierced. When patch cables are used in a 4PPoE 100W PoE environment, the electrical resistance must be as low as possible. By using patch cables with IDC connectors, you are assured of a stable and long-lasting network connection in 4PPoE 100W (type 4) applications.

LSZH cable jacket, fully copper cores and gold-plated contacts

The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable jacket reduces the risk of releasing high concentrations of toxic substances when the cable is damaged by fire or short circuit. Ideal for use in plenum spaces, suspended ceilings and raised computer floors. The ACT S/FTP patch cable has fully copper 24AWG cores, 50µ gold-plated RJ45 contacts and complies with the international standard ANSI/TIA-568.2-D.
