In a distant past, there existed seven sacred paper scrolls that would bring power and prosperity to whoever possessed them. Prophecy told that a child born with pure royal blood would one day make use of these powers and rule all lands. Men across Europe competed to obtain the scrolls, and a war drew ever closer.

To keep peace, a Celtic king, the father of a child of pure blood, collected all seven scrolls and gave them into the custody of the Christian Council. The story of what the king had done quickly circulated and it was not long before he was murdered in cold blood. The king's daughter was taken to safety along with the scrolls until the day the prophecy came true.
