The E720A has an answering machine with up to 30 minutes of recording time. You can very easily listen to your messages via the base station handset or via a secure outside line from anywhere in the world. There are 170 seconds available to record your personal message, and if there is a power failure, all recordings are still intact.

This phone has more than a blacklist for callers: with the Gigaset E720A, you can select the green screen illumination for known callers, identifying callers you trust at a glance. You can also opt for stricter call protection by creating a white list that only accepts calls from known contacts so numbers you don't know won't ring with you.

Smart feature: Bluetooth connection for hearing aids
This phone lets you take calls via a direct connection to your hearing aid. Thanks to Bluetooth 4.2, there is a wireless connection to the Gigaset E720HX handsets. This modern integration is also often found in modern hearing aids, making calling even easier and more convenient. The Gigaset E720HX is compatible with Phonak and Unitron hearing aids, among others, and possibly with other brands whose products feature Bluetooth 4.2 and support HSP and HFP protocols.

You already have a choice of five different volume levels for the speaker, and if that is not enough you can easily double the speaker volume by pressing the Boost key on the right side of the handset.

Bigger is better: large font function
The Gigaset E720A home phone offers a large high-contrast color display with a magnifying glass function for displaying letters and numbers. For example, a contact selected in the handset's phonebook is automatically enlarged and highlighted in orange. If the enlarged name is too long for the display, it is displayed as a moving left-to-right "crawler" display. Numbers entered during dialing are also highlighted in this color and displayed in an extra large format. And when it's dark? The backlit screen makes everything perfectly legible. Ideal for people who get or have trouble with their sight.

Convenience serves man: talking keypad and spoken number recognition
With the Gigaset E720A you can have the numbers you dial read aloud and spoken. This allows you to dial a number by ear. In addition, you can set the number of the incoming caller to be spoken, and when the contact is registered you can speak the name in your handset's phonebook. In practice: the caller's name is spoken when the person calls, for example, if Henk de Vries calls. You do this by adding a voice recording to the name in your handset phonebook. This feature is ideal if you are visually impaired or blind.
