One would almost think that second-rate lawyer Cleaver Greene couldn't sink any deeper by being in jail, but when reunited with our chatty hero, things only get worse.
When he gets out of prison, he struggles to find his place in society. His clients repel him and he struggles to find anything that somewhat resembles a case. He takes a mediocre case on drunk driving and tries to make it a controversial one, but he fails at this.
When Scarlett offers him to become her junior it creates tension between the two, but it is Cleaver's only chance for redemption - on the legal front, that is - and he accepts immediately.
In this season, we see how Cleaver fights to get his life back on track. It is not long before corruption is discovered at various corporate and government levels and excessive use of illegal substances. There is an alleged robbery, a fake cancer case and two very real Royal Committees. In addition, of course, there is the constant fear that he is running the whole thing into the ground.
He has even more to lose when it comes to his own family, because he has to save his wife and son from danger on all sides. How will he reinvent himself now? And will it be enough to finally bring his family back together?
