Pro-Ject Q UP
The Pro-Ject Q UP is a tonearm lifter that will automatically operate when the tonearm is close to the trigger. Lifting the tonearm is done gradually, which allows the tonearm and stylus (needle) to last longer compared to when the tonearm is lifted by people. The Q UP is set to operate at the end of each record, so there are no adverse effects on the sound quality of the turntable on which the compact device is installed.

Other benefits
The Q UP from Pro-Ject has its own adjustable trigger sensitivity for when the device should lift the tonearm.
