In search of new opportunities, ambitious entrepreneur Rory (Jude Law) moves with his wife (Carrie Coon) and children from a safe American suburb to a priceless mansion in conservative 1980s England. While Rory completely loses himself in his work, Carrie has trouble adjusting to her new surroundings. As a result, they become increasingly estranged from each other and the seemingly perfect family threatens to fall apart.
