Earth has been attacked by aliens who cannot be defeated by any existing military unit. Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) is sent on a suicide mission. After only a few minutes he finds death, but is swallowed up in a time loop and forced to go through the same gruesome battle over and over again. Each time he must fight, only to die over and over again. But as he trains his skills, alongside fellow warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), he gets better and better. Each battle brings him one step closer to victory, in this intense action thriller.
