James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, both nominated for an Oscar®, shine in this new drama from David Simon and George Pelecanos (The Wire, Treme). The series is set in and around Times Square, where in the 1970s the porn industry develops into a billion-dollar industry. In The Deuce, all sorts of colorful characters pass by - from bartenders, prostitutes and pimps to police officers and customers - trying in their own way to find happiness in a world full of sex, drugs and (fast) entertainment.
