You can purchase the MediaMarkt Gift Card both online on our website, and locally in our stores.

Please note, however, all purchased cards are invalid until activation: 

• Cards purchased in local stores: activation is done at the cash desk after payment. 
• STANDARD and PHOTO cards purchased online: you must activate them yourself by clicking on the activation link. You will receive the activation link via e-mail as soon as your Gift Card(s) order has been produced and sent. 
• PRINTABLE cards purchased online: the activation is done automatically within 15 minutes after receipt of the card(s) by e-mail. 

No, the MediaMarkt Gift Card cannot be purchased over the phone.

• At the local store, you can buy as many Gift Cards as you want. However, certain Gift Card promotions may have a maximum number of Gift Cards per customer set up. 
• If you want to buy Gift Cards online, there is a maximum of 20 cards per order. If you wish to order more cards, you must place a new order.

• In local stores: cash payment and current debit cards. In local shops, you can also use the MediaMarkt Gift Card to purchase another MediaMarkt Gift Card. 
• In the webshop: Bancontact, VISA, MasterCard and Maestro. 

Both in the online shop and in local stores, the amount of the MediaMarkt Gift Card is free to choose between a minimum of €5 and a maximum of €150.

PRINTABLE CARD: 15 MINUTES 

Shipping is automatic. Within 15 minutes of payment, you will receive the Printable Gift Card(s) as an attachment by e-mail. 

STANDARD CARD and PHOTO CARD: 2 TO 4 WORKING DAYS 

Standard and Photo Gift Cards are produced and sent by post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On those 3 dispatch days, all orders placed before 3pm will be produced and dispatched the same day. So depending on the day and time you place your order, it will be delivered to your home within 2 to 4 working days. 

Personalisation options (*) vary from card to card. More details below for the 4 types of Gift Cards MediaMarkt offers you online: 

STANDARD CARD 

Choice 1: With image on the card cover 

A neutral, white Gift Card is attached inside a nice card cover for which you can choose the image from a nice selection of MediaMarkt designs. 

Personalisation is not available for this type of Standard card during your online order. However, the fields "Amount", "For" and "From" are provided inside the card envelope. So when you receive the Gift Card at your home, you can personalise the card cover yourself according to your preferences by writing the amount, the name of the recipient and/or the donor in the fields provided. 

If you place an order for several cards of the same motif with a different amount, the amount of each card will be entered by us. This will allow you to keep the different cards apart upon receipt. 

Choice 2: With image on the Gift Card 

A beautiful Gift Card with a nice image on the card itself, attached to a neutral glossy cardboard. 

For this type of Standard card, you can personalise the content of 4 fields - "Amount", "For", "From" and "Text" - during your online order. This personalisation is then printed on the neutral glossy cardboard to which the card is attached. 

You are not obliged to fill in the "For", "From" and "Text" fields during your online order. You decide to what extent you wish to personalise this type of Standard card. 

PRINTABLE CARD 

For the Printable Card, you can personalise the content of the 4 fields - "Amount", "For", "From" and "Text" - during your online order. This personalisation will then be automatically filled in on the PDF of the Gift Card sent to you by e-mail after your payment. 

You are not obliged to fill in the "For", "From" and "Text" fields during your online order. You decide to what extent you personalise the Printable Card. 

PHOTO CARD 

With the Photo Gift Card, the personalisation concerns your personal image that will be printed on the card. 

The 4 fields "Amount", "For", "From" and "Text" are not available for personalisation in the Photo Gift Card order module. However, the Photo Gift Card is attached to a nice glossy cardboard on which the fields "Amount", "For" and "From" are pre-printed for you. When you receive the ordered Photo Gift Card(s), you can personalise the glossy cardboard according to your preference by writing the amount, the name of the recipient and/or the donor in the pre-printed fields yourself.

STANDARD CARD 

The Standard Gift Card with MediaMarkt's standard motifs is provided free of charge to our customers both in the online shop and in our local stores. You only pay the amount you want to load onto the card. 

This also means that when you order the Gift Card online, MediaMarkt itself assumes the production and shipping costs so that the card(s) are printed and delivered to you free of charge and within 2 to 4 working days. 

PRINTABLE CARD 

MediaMarkt does not charge any production costs for the Printable Gift Card, so this card is also offered to our online customers free of charge. You only pay the amount you want to load onto the card. An additional advantage is that the Printable Gift Card will be sent to you by e-mail within 15 minutes. 

PHOTO CARD 

The personalisation of the Photo Gift Card costs 4.99€ per card ordered. This cost includes the price of the card, photo printing, processing and postage. Consequently, there is no additional cost. In addition to the cost per card, you pay the amount you wish to load onto the card. 

As the production and delivery process of the printable Gift Card is different from that of the physical Gift Card ("Standard" and "Photo"), it is not possible to order both card types together online. 

You will automatically receive the printable card by e-mail within 15 minutes. While the physical card is produced first, then sent by post and delivered to your home within 2 to 4 working days. 

Consequently, we recommend you order one card type first and then place a second order for the other card type. 

Due to the automated process of producing gift cards, as the online ordered cards can be personalized (donor, recipient, text, and amount), and because the gift card functions as a debit card, it is no longer possible to cancel your order.

No, it is only possible to deliver orders within Belgium.

Because gift cards are not subject to VAT and are therefore not deductible.

I purchased a printable gift card online. How should I best print it?

To ensure that the lucky recipient can use the printable card without any issues, please consider the following printing tips:

• Always check the print preview before printing.
• For the clear readability of the card number and PIN (needed for use on www.mediamarkt.be) and of the barcode (needed for use in stores), it is important to print the PDF correctly (do not rotate or center the page, and print at actual size).
• Also, for readability, we ask that you print the gift card only on white paper and set the print quality to 'high'.
  

I purchased a printable gift card online, but when I open the PDF, I notice that the content of my personalized fields is missing. What should I do?

We recommend opening the PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader or with Chrome. Both programs can be downloaded for free.

If you are using Microsoft Edge, there is a high chance that the content of your personalized fields may not be visible or printable."

Without activation, there is no credit on the card. Activation actually loads the amount onto the card.

Online purchased STANDARD and PHOTO cards:

Standard and photo gift cards purchased online need to be activated by simply clicking on the activation link. You will receive the activation link via email as soon as your gift card order has been produced and dispatched.

Online purchased PRINTABLE card:

The activation is done automatically within 15 minutes after receiving the card(s) via email.

Cards purchased in-store:

In the local store, activation occurs at the checkout after payment. Present the card at the checkout, and after payment and activation, the amount will be registered on your gift card.

STANDARD CARD and PHOTO CARD: ACTIVATION LINK

You activate online purchased standard and photo gift cards yourself by clicking on the activation link.

You will receive the activation link via email as soon as your gift card order has been produced and dispatched. A click on the link is enough to activate the gift card. This link activates all cards in your order. We recommend that you only click on the activation link when you have received the gift card(s).

PRINTABLE CARD: AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION

You do not need to activate the printable gift card(s) yourself. The activation occurs automatically within 15 minutes after receiving the card(s) via email. Therefore, it is normal that you do not receive an activation link via email."

STANDARD CARD and PHOTO CARD

Check the spam folder in your email account. There is a good chance that the email with the activation link has ended up there.

PRINTABLE CARD

The activation occurs automatically. Therefore, it is normal that you do not receive an activation link via email.

Please contact our customer service at [email protected]  and provide the following information:

• The full card number (13 digits)
• The email address you used for the order
• The full order number (e.g., GCBE123456)

After verification by our staff, a new activation link will be sent to you.

You can use the MediaMarkt gift cards in all MediaMarkt stores in Belgium and in the online store (www.mediamarkt.be).

A physical card purchased in a local store can also be used online, and vice versa. A PDF received through an online promotion can also be used in a local store.

Regardless of where the card was purchased (locally or online) and what type of card it is (standard, photo, or printable), each MediaMarkt gift card is equipped with:

• A barcode: for use in our local stores. You present the gift card at the checkout, where the barcode is scanned.
• A card number with a PIN (*): for use in our online store. On the website, select 'Gift card' as the payment method. Then enter the card number and PIN into the designated fields.

(*) For physical cards ('Standard' and 'Photo'), the PIN is located under the scratch-off area. For printable cards, the PIN is located under the card number.

Your MediaMarkt gift card is valid for 1 year from the day of purchase. If you do not fully spend the amount on your gift card, the remaining credit will remain on the card for up to 1 year.

After 1 year from activation, the card can no longer be read, and the credit will expire.

Please note that the 1-year validity period does not apply to certain promotions and offers where we provide the gift card. In such cases, the expiration date will be clearly stated either on the gift card itself or in the communication of the promotion/offer.

If the amount on your gift card is insufficient for the total amount of your order, you can use additional gift cards (a maximum of 5 cards in the online store) or choose another payment method for the remaining credit.

If the amount on your gift card is higher than the total amount of your order, the remaining credit will stay on your gift card for future use. The remaining credit on your card remains available for 1 year. Please note that after this period, the balance will expire, and you will no longer be able to use the card.

Standard card and photo card

As a generous giver, you must first activate the Standard and Photo gift cards yourself by clicking on the activation link; otherwise, there will be no balance on the card you are giving as a gift.

You will receive the activation link via email as soon as your gift card order has been produced and dispatched. A click on the link is enough to activate the gift card. This link activates all cards in your order. We recommend that you only click on the activation link once you have received the gift card(s).

Yes, of course! You can do this both in local stores and in our online store. You can combine your gift card with your preferred payment method or with another gift card (maximum of 5 for an online order).

No, since MediaMarkt guarantees the lowest price, there are no additional discounts or benefits associated with using the MediaMarkt gift card.

You can check the (remaining) balance on your MediaMarkt Gift Card in 3 ways: 

• Via the website: go to this page and enter the number and PIN of your Gift Card.
• On the receipt of your last purchase made with the Gift Card.
• At the information desk in the MediaMarkt stores. 

The remaining amount remains on the MediaMarkt Gift Card for up to 1 year. After that, the credit expires and you can no longer use the card.

If it turns out that the credit on the MediaMarkt Gift Card is insufficient for the full amount of the purchase, you can pay the difference using another payment method. 

You can combine the MediaMarkt Gift Card with your preferred payment method, both in the webshop and in local stores.  

Moreover, it is possible to use the credit of different Gift Cards for the total amount of your order: in the web shop up to 5 Gift Cards, in local stores the number of cards is unlimited per transaction. 

Yes, you can combine the amounts of multiple MediaMarkt gift cards onto one MediaMarkt gift card, provided that the total amount does not exceed the allowed maximum of 150 €.

No, unfortunately not. If the MediaMarkt Gift Card is lost or used without your permission, MediaMarkt cannot replace or cancel the Gift Card. Gift Cards are exactly like cash in that respect.
