- Omnium 1Y: protect your smartphone against accidental damage for a period of 12 months.
- Omnium Basic: cover your devices for up to 60 months against breakdowns and accidental user damage."
Yes. Repairs via our Smartbar are separate from the free repair/replacement option under the statutory warranty for goods, digital content, and digital services purchased from us for defects that existed at the time of delivery. Therefore, the statutory warranty period continues after you are returned to possession of your product or a replacement product."

The extended warranty (Garantie+) covers the repair or replacement of the device at no cost to the customer in the event of an electrical or mechanical defect. Warranty+ consists of 2 years of statutory warranty + 3 years of extended warranty, with the following depreciation:
- In the 3rd year, there is coverage up to 100% of the purchase price.
- In the 4th year, there is coverage up to 80% of the purchase price.
- In the 5th year, there is coverage up to 60% of the purchase price.
If the repair costs more, we will compensate this with a gift voucher.

You are covered while you are traveling outside of Belgium. If an electrical fault with the insured item occurs outside of Belgium, you must notify the insurer as soon as possible. If your claim under the extended warranty is approved, the insurer will assist you upon your return to Belgium.
The extended warranty is also valid for professional customers. This extends the warranty period to 5 years after purchase.
Omnium+
Omnium+ covers breakdowns, accidental user damage, and theft for up to 60 months.

Warranty with repairs

If the screen and/or battery are repaired at an approved repair centre, your warranty remains valid.
If you have the screen and/or battery repaired at a Smartbar, there is an internal warranty of 3 to 12 months that applies. This warranty is only valid for the screen/battery repair and the part itself. Please refer to our general terms and conditions.
Yes, you can.
For smartphones, we offer our Omnium 1Y or Omnium+ insurance. With this, you can provide additional protection for your smartphone against accidental damage and/or theft. You can read here about the specific differences between the two insurances.
For all other devices, there is a specific Omnium Basic or Omnium+ insurance. These provide up to 60 months of additional protection against damage, defects, accidents, and/or theft
If your device is still within the warranty period, an authorised repair service for the specific brand will assess it and keep you informed.
That depends on the product, brand, and issue. Bring your device to one of the MediaMarkt stores, and we will be happy to assist you.
If your product is under warranty and it concerns a manufacturing defect or technical damage, you can have the product repaired at no cost. We will then send it back to the manufacturer. If the damage occurs outside the warranty period of your product, the repair will be chargeable. Additionally, if it concerns damage that does not fall under manufacturing defects or technical issues, you will need to pay for the repair.

You can still have the product repaired through MediaMarkt. We will provide a quotation, after which you can decide whether you want to proceed with the repair or not. Please note, if you choose to have a device returned unrepaired, there may be associated costs.
