Image Calibration

When the TV is delivered from the manufacturer, it is set to stand out in the store; colours are brighter and the contrast is increased. These settings are, of course, not ideal for watching TV in a cosy living room in the evening. Additionally, calibrating TVs is a time-consuming process for the manufacturer. Each screen is unique, which means every TV requires different settings and must be calibrated individually. 

The calibration is performed according to the ISF standard (Imaging Science Foundation), which aligns with the standards used by the film industry. These quality standards ensure that you can enjoy realistic colour reproduction, optimised contrast, and an energy-efficient TV. 

During the calibration, we use Calman software. This program is the most widely used calibration software worldwide and is equipped with the latest technical developments and international standards. The most respected colour professionals in Hollywood work with these standards to ensure that the picture is displayed exactly as intended. 

Adjusting the picture settings of your TV, anyone can do that, right? However, it's more complex than you might think. With the naked eye, you cannot optimise the picture settings. 

Achieving the quality standard requires advanced equipment and software. The equipment measures the values of the screen, and the software indicates how well these values meet the standard. By adjusting the picture settings, all values come closer to the quality standard. 

Additionally, it's important to know that incorrect settings can damage your TV, for example, by increasing the risk of burn-in. Therefore, make sure to use only the calibrated picture settings for your unique screen.
