A “Tech-top 10” list presents ten sought-after gifts, featuring Pokémon trading cards, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and several Sonos soundbars.

Strombeek, 15 December 2025 – What will be under the Christmas tree this year? There’s a good chance it was already bought during the Black Friday period. In Belgium, around 33¹ per cent of shoppers specifically look for electronics offers on Black Friday – categories that often end up as Christmas presents. Based on MediaMarkt’s sales data for the Black Friday period, the Belgian top 10 best-selling products gives a clear picture of what will be unwrapped most this year.

From Pokémon cards to streaming solutions and from e‑mobility to gaming, the list shows which tech products most often ended up in digital and physical shopping baskets during the Black Friday weeks.

Familiar favourites and new flexibility

The Belgian Tech Top 10 is headed by Pokémon trading cards, which stand out thanks to their broad target group and strong suitability as gifts. The Sony PlayStation 5 also remains a firm favourite, supported by attractive bundles and the continued popularity of gaming during the festive season.

The Nintendo Switch 2 has a solid place in the ranking and remains one of the most chosen consoles for families and casual gamers. In addition, the Sony PlayStation Portal is gaining ground in Belgium. This handheld device streams PS5 games via Wi‑Fi to a portable screen, offering extra flexibility within the same ecosystem. The Portal fits within a broader trend in which gamers want to be able to play at more times and in more places.

Compact, convenient and popular

Strikingly, Belgium is strongly embracing compact streaming solutions this year. The Google Chromecast TV streamer and the Xiaomi Smart TV Stick both appear in the top 10. These products make it easy to upgrade existing televisions, which makes them popular and accessible gifts.

Apple EarPods are also among the best‑selling products. Their everyday usability makes them a classic evergreen under the Christmas tree.

Experience at the centre

The Meta Quest 3S confirms that VR is continuing to break through in Belgium. Consumers are looking for ever more intense forms of entertainment, and VR fits this well. Audio also remains an important category for home use. The Sonos Era smart speaker appears in the top 10 and shows that many consumers are willing to invest in better sound for music, films and games.
