EA Sports FC 27 is the latest edition of the popular annual football simulation series. This new instalment introduces new players, exclusive competitions, and an all-new game mode designed to take the football experience to the next level. Here's everything you need to know about the game.

As with every new season, this edition delivers an updated football experience featuring the latest kits, recent transfers, new players, and refreshed ratings based on performances from the past year. You'll be able to enjoy your favourite club and players across several iconic game modes, including Kick-Off for local matches with friends, Manager and Player Career, Clubs, and Football Ultimate Team, the flagship mode of the EA Sports FC franchise.

When will FC 27 be released in Belgium?

EA Sports FC 27 is scheduled for release on 25 September 2026 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 en pc. All game modes will be available from day one. As usual, Football Ultimate Team will kick off the season with a launch event available at release. At this stage, EA hasn’t revealed any details regarding the content or theme of this opening event. EA Play subscribers will also be able to access a 10-hour trial version starting on 18 September 2026, one week before the official launch.

Will EA FC 27 feature an open-world mode?

One of the most widely discussed rumours surrounding EA Sports FC 27 is the introduction of an open-world mode, which would be a first for the franchise. According to several reports, this mode is currently being tested by the developers under the name “FC The Grounds.” It would reportedly feature Alex Hunter, one of the franchise’s most iconic characters, acting as a mentor to players. Inspired by features already seen in other sports games, the mode would allow players to interact with one another, participate in mini-games, complete challenges, customise their avatars, and freely explore a shared open environment. If introduced, this new mode would complement the existing experiences available in previous EA Sports FC titles and offer players an entirely new way to enjoy the game.

Is Ultimate Team available in EA FC 27?

Football Ultimate Team remains the most popular and widely played mode in the EA Sports FC franchise, and it’s available from day one in EA Sports FC 27. Build your dream squad using Ultimate Team player items, create a team featuring your favourite football stars, and compete against players from around the world. By playing matches and participating in competitions, you'll earn rewards, unlock new player cards, and continuously improve your squad as you aim to rise through the ranks and dominate the competition.

Does EA Sports FC 27 include the Belgian Pro League and the Red Devils?

The Belgian Pro League is fully licensed in EA Sports FC 27. All 18 clubs from Belgium’s top division are included with their official names, badges, and kits. As for the Belgian national team, no official licence is currently available. You’ll still be able to play as Belgium, but the team will feature a generic, unlicensed kit rather than the official Red Devils uniform.

Who is on the cover of FC 27?

Kylian Mbappé is on the cover of EA Sports FC 27. Mbappé plays for Real Madrid and the French national team. Bellingham was the face of EA Sports FC 25, while he shared the spotlight with Jamal Musiala of FC Bayern Munich for EA Sports FC 26.

What platforms is FC 27 available on?

EA Sports FC 27 is available on all major gaming platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC. According to EA Sports, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will, for the first time, offer an experience comparable to that of current-generation consoles, with features and content aligned with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. As in previous editions, cross-play is supported, allowing PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players to compete or play together online. If you prefer to play only with users on the same platform, you can disable cross-play in the game settings.

When can you pre-order FC 27?
