Germans are gripped by brain training fever. Since the arrival of the innovative Nintendo DS software Dr. Kawashima's Gehirn-Jogging: Wie fit ist Ihr Gehirn? last summer, it has found around half a million buyers in the country. Worldwide, more than 10 million people are already using the daily workout program for their grey matter. And something no video game has achieved yet: it has been at the top of the game charts for a year. Now all brain trainers can load some extra mental weights onto their Nintendo DS: on June 29th, Dr. Kawashima: More Brain Training will be released, a considerably expanded version of the 2006 bestseller - with many more and entirely new exercises, age checks - and with games that are as fun as they are engaging for up to 16 participants.
Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training inspires people of all ages, including those who have never touched a video game before. The reason: the title is not a game in the strict sense, but software to improve memory performance. Based on the insights of the respected Japanese neuroscientist Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, it helps to stimulate the brain. Regular and continuous training does the brain muscle just as well as the biceps. Ten minutes a day, which can be easily incorporated anywhere and anytime thanks to the portable Nintendo DS, are sufficient for this.
Dr. Kawashima: More Brain Training uses the touchscreen and microphone of the Nintendo DS just as intelligently as its predecessor. Users hold the console vertically like an open book: on the left, the screen displays the tasks; on the right, the touchscreen is used to enter the solutions.
