10-year lifespan

This product comes with a 10-year warranty. If the battery is almost empty, you will receive a warning. 

Large hush, test and reset button

The Alecto SA300 is equipped with a large, yet discreet hush, test and reset button. The entire surface is one large button, which you can easily press with the back of a broom. You no longer have to stand on a stepladder to test the detector or to switch off the detector or the alarm. 

• You use the hush button when you want to temporarily stop the alarm that is sounding.
• It is a regulation for smoke detectors to test them regularly. Press the test button once a month and always after a period of absence. 

Easy installation

This compact Alecto smoke detector is suitable for wall and ceiling mounting and easy to install in the desired location. It comes with a base plate, screws, and anchors to make it even easier. As soon as the smoke detector is clicked onto the mounting plate, the detector is activated.

The best places to install smoke detectors are in the hallway or on the landing. These are often the escape routes in the house in case of fire. If you want maximum security, hang a smoke detector in every room where fire can originate.

Mandatory smoke detectors from July 1, 2022

From July 1, 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every living floor in your house and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route passes. The Building Decree will be amended for this purpose, making it legally mandatory to comply. This also applies if you live in a rental property. A tested fire alarm must be installed on each floor. An attic that does not serve as a living space does not need to have a smoke detector. If your enclosed hallway on the ground floor is an escape route for a floor above it, you must also install a working smoke detector there.
