IP44 waterproof and protection cap

The alpina Smart home smart plug is specially designed for outdoor use. For example, there is a protection cap on the front of the socket that closes off the socket when you are not using it. This makes it less likely for water or dirt to enter the socket. In addition to this protection cap, the smart plug is also IP44 certified. This means that the plug can easily withstand small rain showers without being damaged.

alpina Smart home app

You connect the plug via your WiFi router. So you don't need an additional hub. To control the plug, download the alpina Smart app to your phone. This app works through the user-friendly Tuya Smart platform. Once the app is downloaded, create an account or log in to an existing account. Then click on '+' to add the smart plug. Then plug the smart plug into an outlet and confirm it in the app once the reset light starts flashing. Then in the app, also confirm your wifi network and password. Also give the smart plug a name in the app. This can then also be used for voice control in Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
