iPad Pro
Thin. Light. Epic.
The power of iPad is unique simplicity combined with unprecedented possibilities. iPad Pro now adds a significant boost to that. With a large 12.9-inch Retina display, a system processor that is almost twice as fast as that of iPad Air 2, and refined Multi-Touch technology. iPad Pro is not only bigger, it helps you think bigger. This allows you to be even more creative and productive.
Retina Display
A grand space where anything is possible.
The Retina display of iPad Pro has no less than 5.6 million pixels. More than any other iOS device. Whatever you do, you'll be fully immersed in the enormous 12.9-inch screen. Whether you're editing 4K video, creating presentations, or running your business, everything is lightning fast. And the completely revised Multi-Touch subsystem offers you numerous new possibilities.
A9X Chip
The most powerful chip for the iPad that can do more than ever.
iPad Pro runs on the brand new A9X chip, our third chip with desktop-class 64-bit architecture. Thanks to this chip, the system processor is 1.8 times faster and the graphics processor is twice as fast as that of iPad Air 2. This ensures that even the most demanding apps run smoothly.
iOS 9
It gets better and better. With every tap.
iOS 9 is the most intuitive, advanced, and secure mobile operating system in the world. The new features make the most of the lightning-fast iPad Pro. This allows you to be more productive and creative than ever. You can even multitask, allowing you to work in two apps simultaneously without any problems. Furthermore, iPad has become even more versatile through various improvements in Siri and the Spotlight search function, among others. It seems as if iOS 9 and iPad Pro were made for each other. And they were.
Apps for iPad
More iPad than ever. So your apps can do more than ever.
iPad Pro comes with built-in apps that make the things you do every day even easier. You'll also find great apps specifically made for iPad in the App Store. This means there's almost nothing your iPad can't do.
Design
Grand in almost every way.
Despite its enormous display, iPad Pro is only 6.9 millimeters thick and weighs just 713 grams. Yet it is very solid due to the strong aluminum unibody. But the most surprising thing about iPad Pro is how comfortable it is to hold.
Four Speaker Audio
Great sound. No matter how you hold it.
iPad Pro is grand in both image and sound. With four advanced speakers ingeniously integrated into the aluminum unibody. Thanks to this new design, the acoustic output of iPad Pro is three times larger than that of iPad Air. But it goes further. Because depending on how you hold your iPad Pro, it automatically changes the direction of the high frequencies. So whether you're playing games or watching movies, the sound of iPad Pro is always great.
New: Smart Keyboard for iPad Pro
A major shift for the keyboard.
Smart Keyboard was developed with the latest technologies and materials. The result: a unique keyboard with all the bells and whistles. And yet extremely compact. Smart Keyboard connects to your iPad Pro via the innovative new Smart Connector, which intelligently handles both power and data. Just place your iPad Pro down and start typing.
New: Apple Pencil for iPad Pro
Completely familiar. Totally innovative.
Apple Pencil is pixel-perfect. This means a great extension of Multi-Touch capabilities. And your creativity. It is tilt- and pressure-sensitive, so you can handle a wide variety of tasks. From extremely thin lines to subtle shadows. As soon as you pick up Apple Pencil, it feels immediately familiar and extremely direct. Ready to get the most out of your iPad Pro.
Touch ID
Ingenious security. You literally have it in your fingers.
iPad Pro uses Touch ID technology to make your fingerprint the perfect password. One touch is enough to unlock your iPad while keeping your personal data safe. Even if you share your iPad with someone else. With Touch ID, you can also shop securely in iTunes, iBooks, and the App Store.
iSight Camera and FaceTime HD Camera
Two great cameras. Everything perfectly in view.
The iSight camera of iPad Pro has an advanced sensor that allows you to take beautiful photos and videos. The image signal processor designed by Apple delivers excellent results, even in panorama, burst, and timer modes. You can also create time-lapse and slow-motion videos in 720p HD. The larger viewfinder displays more detail than ever before.
The FaceTime HD camera on the front has an improved sensor, making video calls look even more lifelike. You can also take stunning photos and videos in low light or strong backlight.
Wifi + 4G LTE
Fast wireless connections.
With iPad Pro, you can connect to fast Wi-Fi and mobile networks. Downloading movies, browsing the internet, and sharing documents can be done almost anywhere. The super-fast Wi-Fi + Cellular model supports 4G LTE, for when you're somewhere without Wi-Fi. And because Apple SIM is installed, you can always connect to mobile network providers on iPad Pro. All you need to do is sign up for a short-term data plan.
Protective Covers
The ideal travel companions for your iPad Pro.
Specifically for iPad Pro, we have developed a number of Smart Covers and silicone cases. The Smart Cover is made of strong polyurethane and is available in charcoal gray and white. The silicone case protects the back of your iPad Pro and fits seamlessly with the Smart Cover. This way, your iPad Pro is protected all around.
