Where do you place your smoke detector?

In the Netherlands it is legally required to have a smoke detector on every floor and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route runs. In Belgium it is legally required to have smoke detectors on every floor. In Flanders you must install at least one smoke detector per floor; in Wallonia that is also required, but if the surface area is larger than 80 m², two smoke detectors must be placed.
