Where to place your smoke detector?

In the Netherlands, it is legally required to have a smoke detector on every living floor and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route passes.

In addition to meeting legal requirements, we advise you to optimize fire safety in your home by installing smoke detectors in strategic locations:

• Escape routes: Install smoke detectors in hallways and near stairs, especially if they lead to bedrooms. This ensures smoke is detected quickly, allowing for timely action.
