The film is set in the kingdom of Plumbeard. Young Hopper Chickenson is the adopted son of King Arthur, a famous adventure hare. Hopper himself is half chicken and half hare and obsessed with adventure, but he is rather clumsy. When Harold, King Arthur's brother, escapes from prison to seek the all-powerful Hamster of Darkness to drive his brother from the throne, Hopper decides to go after him. With the help of his loyal servant Archie, a sarcastic turtle, and Meg, a skunk and expert martial artist, he embarks on an epic adventure.
