The bernette 68 is a combination machine with overlock, cover, chain and combination stitches.

Its many strengths include an air-operated threading system for easy threading of looper threads, 13 cm of space to the right of the needle for comfortable sewing of large projects - especially for cover stitches, an integrated free arm for sewing e.g. cuffs, the bright lighting of the sewing area with 5 LED lights and the knee lift system for lowering and temporarily raising the presser foot.

With 31 different stitches, every need is catered for.

Automatic air threading system

Thanks to the automatic air threading system, threading the gripper is easier and faster than ever before. The looper can be threaded with a simple push of a button.

5 LED lights in the work area and around the needle

The well-lit spacious work area of the bernette 68 AIRLOCK makes not only sewing itself but also threading the looper and needles very easy. Thanks to the 5 LED lights, precise and accurate work can be done.

Lots of space thanks to the large working area (130 mm)

The 130 mm working area to the right of the needle provides a new dimension when working with cover stitches. The large working area is ideal for guiding and catching heavy sewing projects in front of and behind the needle, and provides space for all tasks in the area around the needle and looper.

Super-large extension table

This easy-to-attach included extension table makes sewing and guiding fabric even more convenient, especially for large sewing projects. It allows the fabric to glide smoothly over the large rounded work area. The matching coverstitch insert expands the sewing area and fits perfectly with the extension table.

Knee lever

Use the knee lift provided to guide the fabric well under the presser foot with both hands. Simply push the knee lift with the knee to the right to lower or temporarily raise the presser foot.

Micro Thread Control (mtc)

The micro thread control (mtc) saves a lot of time and effort and ensures beautiful stitches of consistent quality, as the thread tension only needs to be set once, even if the cutting width and material thickness are changed!
