72 hours of non-stop access to FM news and emergency broadcasts on just one set of batteries.
No solar panels that never charge enough, no hand cranks that barely supply power, no power banks that lose capacity after one year – but a radio that always works, precisely when it's needed.
Take it anywhere, anytime
Weighing only 95 grams, this emergency radio is a lightweight companion. Thanks to its compact size, it fits effortlessly into your bag or jacket pocket. The simple control panel and clear display make selecting stations and adjusting volume quick and intuitive.
Alarm clock and sleep timer
Set an alarm to wake you up or as a reminder. With the sleep timer, the radio automatically switches off after the set time – ideal for falling asleep and saving batteries.
According to the Minister of Justice, people must be able to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours
Every Dutch and Belgian citizen must be able to save themselves for 72 hours in the event of a cyber attack, a disaster that paralyzes the country, or a war, says Minister of Justice and Security David van Weel in De Telegraaf. Previously, the advice was 48 hours of self-sufficiency. By extending the advice to 72 hours, the Netherlands is following European advice on increasing resilience in emergency situations. In the event of a power outage, you are quickly cut off from reliable information. Think ahead: in an emergency situation where the power goes out, the radio is often the only reliable source of information. After two to four hours, the transmission towers are empty and telephone traffic is down. Via the radio, you hear what is happening, how long it will last, and what is expected of you.
