Alarm clock and sleep timer

Set an alarm to wake you up or as a reminder. With the sleep timer, the radio automatically turns off after the set time – ideal for falling asleep and saving batteries.

According to the Minister of Justice, people must be able to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours

Every Dutch and Belgian citizen must be able to survive for 72 hours in the event of a cyber attack, a disaster that paralyzes the country, or a war, says Minister of Justice and Security David van Weel in De Telegraaf. Previously, the advice was 48 hours of self-sufficiency. By extending the advice to 72 hours, the Netherlands is following European advice on increasing resilience in emergency situations. In the event of a power outage, you are quickly cut off from reliable information. Think ahead, in an emergency situation where the electricity fails, the radio is often the only reliable source of information. After two to four hours, the transmission masts are empty and telephone traffic is down. Via the radio, you hear what is happening, how long it will last, and what is expected of you.
