The portable ScanSnap iX100 is incredibly fast and fully mobile, to capture documents at work, at home, and on the go more quickly and easily. This scanner is compact and lightweight and optionally comes with an A4 document feeder, GI processor for extensive capture, and Wi-Fi or USB connectivity to share and sync your documents anywhere, anytime. The iX100 has numerous features for optimal productivity in a robust housing of less than 400 grams, which will not get in the way of your other equipment. The iX100 is an ideal solution for anyone who needs to capture documents ad hoc or on a regular basis in different environments and then wants to store these documents locally or send them to a colleague, workflow, cloud service, or application. Whether you have business cards, receipts, bank statements, contracts, courier delivery notes, written notes, newspaper articles, postcards, or even A3 documents: the iX100 is suitable for numerous materials. With the push of a button, you can digitize documents and make your daily tasks more efficient.

If you have business cards, receipts, and double-sided documents, you can use the convenient continuous document feed mode to feed pages one by one by seeing when an item is inserted and ejected from the iX100 and thus create single-page images.

The iX100 is extremely suitable for scanning in any environment thanks to its built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. You only need to set up the scanner once; after that, every network environment you use the device in is automatically recognized, allowing you to seamlessly switch between access points at your home, secure office networks, and direct connections.

Easily scan documents, unleash your productive side
The iX100 was designed with the user in mind who faces limited space and time, as well as the desire for direct access and availability of information. The iX100 has various document paths. Choose the straight paper path for scanning thicker items such as postcards, business cards, and other typical cards (up to 209 g/m²). Use the U-shaped path to capture documents weighing up to 80 g/m² and in situations with little or limited space.

Scan a double-sided document with the CDF function
Another mechanism that will save you a lot of time when scanning multiple small documents is the iX100's ability to scan two or more items (such as business cards or receipts) simultaneously. You must leave a 10 mm space between the items. The displayed separate images are automatically rotated, straightened, and cropped, regardless of how you inserted the original documents into the scanner.

If you have documents larger than A4, you can scan them without extra effort using the intuitive automatic attachment mode. If an A3 document has graphics on both halves, you can fold the document in half; both sides will then be scanned one after the other. The overlapping pattern is either automatically
detected by ScanSnap Manager, or you can manually adjust the halves after scanning with ScanSnap Organizer, for example, if your A3 document mainly contains text.

Fragile documents or photos can be scanned with an optional carrier sheet for extra protection.

Other automated image correction and enhancement features include blank page removal and color detection. These are just more features of the iX100, designed to get the best scan the first time and to minimize user intervention before, during, and after the scanning process.

Choose from numerous 'scan to' destinations with the supplied software
After capturing the scanned image, ScanSnap Manager opens the Quick Menu. This menu is perfect for both new and experienced users. In this menu, you can easily choose what you want to do with the generated scanned data:

- Scan and create editable Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files with the included ABBYY FineReader software. You no longer need to spend your time retyping a text document or spreadsheet; you can now simply scan them and convert them directly to your favorite office applications
- Automatically create searchable PDF files, which makes it much easier to retrieve and manage scanned data
- For efficient and productive work routines, scan directly to a printer, email address, or folder
- With the included CardMinder, you can efficiently sort your business cards, whether it's a single business card from a recent meeting or a whole stack of business cards collected at a trade show. Simply scan the cards and let the OCR software capture predefined information that you can then easily transfer to Excel or Outlook.
- You can capture, access, share, and sync your scanned data anywhere, anytime via your cloud accounts, such as Salesforce Chatter, Evernote, SugarSync, and DropBox.
- Scan and enter your documents directly into Microsoft SharePoint (Windows OS only) for easy indexing, storage, and retrieval.
