Are you on the go and can't reach your phone? No problem: you can count on your answering machine. It can store up to 20 minutes of messages, which you can then listen to at your convenience via the handset, base unit or remotely. Once recorded messages are retained even if the power goes out. You can even personalize your answering machine by recording your own outgoing message and setting the maximum recording time.

Clear, ergonomic, intuitive - who knew telephoning could be so simple?

The first thing you notice about the Gigaset AS690A is its large, backlit, black-and-white graphic display. The display has a number of advantages: The large numeric display in dial mode and the strong contrast between the white letters and black background are designed to ensure that the phone is even easier to use. The ergonomic keypad with backlit keys and intuitive controls also contribute to making phoning as easy as possible.

Switch off occasionally - with protection from unwanted calls

If you don't feel like talking, you can ignore certain phone numbers or anonymous callers by adding up to 32 numbers to your blacklist - when this feature is activated, calls from these numbers are rejected or simply shown on the display without the phone ringing. You can manually add unwanted numbers to the blacklist or copy them from your call history. You can also prevent the phone from ringing for anonymous calls (i.e., calls without caller ID) and even set time periods during which the phone should or should not ring.

Stay in touch with a built-in phonebook and long talk time

The Gigaset AS690A makes communication simple: with 14 hours of talk time, you can rest assured that you can always talk to your contacts. Its integrated phonebook can hold up to 100 names and numbers. In addition, the last 25 calls with the caller's number and the time they rang are automatically displayed. With a standby time of 180 hours, callers can also reach you at all times.

Use your phone wherever you want: The Gigaset AS690A can be expanded with up to four handsets, which you can place anywhere in your home. So whether you're in the kitchen, bedroom or your home office, you always have a phone close at hand.

Always environmentally friendly - and radiation-free thanks to ECO DECT

Like all Gigaset cordless phones, the Gigaset AS690 series is equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. This means that the phones are radiation-free in standby even when using multiple handsets, provided the base station and all connected handsets support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts according to the distance between the handset and base station. The shorter the distance between the handset and base station, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can turn ECO DECT mode off at any time.
