The dock can be used with virtually all laptops as it supports connection to all common ports: 3.0, USB-C, USB4 and Thunderbolt” 3/4 while supporting all common current operating systems.

The docking station can be used when simply connected to a laptop (without a USB-C charger), or with a USB-C charger (not included).
