Inspector Adam Dalgliesh, a creation of British detective writer P.D. James, works at New Scotland Yard in London. He is a widower, lives by the Thames and drives a Jaguar. In his spare time, he writes poetry. Almost all of the novels James wrote about this intelligent and quirky sleuth have been adapted into
highly successful miniseries. The lead role is always played by the characteristic actor Roy Marsden. In The Black Tower, based on a 1975 novel, we see how Dalgliesh is surrounded by murder and mayhem even on vacation. Everything seems to revolve around a macabre secret hidden in a dark tower near a cliff....
