If you attach the two Joy-Con controllers to the Joy-Con holder, you can use them like a traditional controller. Each Joy-Con also forms a stand-alone controller.
If you give one of the Joy-Con controllers to a friend, you can play multiplayer games together anywhere.
You can play games by holding one Joy-Con vertically or horizontally, but it is also possible to hold one Joy-Con in each hand.
