Program Ozobot in 2 ways; digitally with OzoBlockly and "screenless" with markers on paper.
Entry level is low, the learning curve is huge. The programming functions Evo has to offer are easy to learn but infinitely expandable.
The Evo app, the OzoBlockly web-based software and the many lessons and activities are completely free and ready to use.
The Ozobot Evo features smart sensors (patented)
- Optical line sensors to automatically recognize and follow lines.
- Optical color sensor to recognize colors and color codes.
- 4 infrared distance sensors around the Evo to detect and respond to obstacles.
- Evo also features 5 LEDs and a speaker, which can be programmed.
Programming and controlling the Evo can be done in several ways:
- Evo can be programmed "screen-free" by drawing lines and color codes with markers on paper.
- Evo can be programmed digitally with Ozoblockly (web-based).
- Evo can be controlled via the Evo app.
Two ways to code
WITH COLOR CODES
For beginners: Draw lines and color codes and place Ozobot on the line. Ozobot now follows the lines and will respond to the colors and color codes chosen.
WITH OZOBLOCKLY
