Thanks to a thorough revision of the internal design architecture of the new PS4, its dimensions have been reduced by more than 30% compared to the previous model, its weight by 25% compared to the first model and by 16% compared to the current PS4 model. Furthermore, the new PS4 is even more energy-efficient. Energy consumption has been reduced by more than 34% and 28% compared to the first model and the current model, respectively. The new PS4 retains the angled casing design of the previous models. The shortened and rounded corners give the console a softer appearance. The glossy PlayStation family logo in the center of the top completes the new, elegant design.
