What does this product do?

TP-LINK's TL-WA850RE is designed to easily increase the coverage area and signal strength of an existing wireless network, eliminating "dead zones". Thanks to its 300 Mbps wireless N speed, Range Extender button, miniature size and wall-mounting, expanding a wireless network has never been easier. In addition, the Ethernet connection on the TL-WA850RE allows you to connect a device via cable to act as a wireless adapter.

300 Mbps Range Extender

The TL-WA850RE is designed to easily increase the coverage area and signal strength of an existing wireless network, eliminating "dead zones" and significantly expanding the coverage area of an existing wireless network. With 300 Mbps wireless 802.11n speed, it is ideal for flawless HD video, music streaming and online gaming.

Flexible deployment

Thanks to its miniature size and wall mount, it is easy to deploy and easy to (re)place. Moreover, the TL-WA850RE's profile function remembers previously connected wireless networks, so there is no need to reset the device when the connected router is changed.

Plug & Play

Without laying new cables, users can easily extend wireless coverage within the range of their existing wireless network by pressing the WPS button on the router followed by the Range Extender button on the TL-WA850RE, or vice versa. Pressing the connect button again quickly establishes a secure connection to client devices.

Ethernet Bridge

Through the TL-WA850RE's Ethernet connection, the Extender can act as a wireless adapter to which a device such as a Blu-ray® player, gaming console, DVR or Internet TV can be connected by cable. At the same time, the device can also share the wireless network.

Smart indicator lights.

The current signal strength received by the TL-WA850RE from the existing router is indicated by 5 indicator lights. This can help determine the best location for the Range Extender so that the TL-WA850RE can achieve the widest possible range and best network performance.
