Secure and intelligent network integration

With a combination of Stateful Firewall, Layer 7 Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS/IDS), the UCG-Fiber reliably protects the network against threats. It recognizes and analyzes network traffic at the application level to identify and block threats early and precisely. The security architecture includes over 55,000 IPS/IDS signatures and allows for fine-grained control of data traffic through zone, domain, and app filtering.

Flexible VPN and SD-WAN connectivity

The UCG-Fiber offers license-free SD-WAN and supports a variety of VPN protocols, including WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IPsec. With Teleport Zero-Configuration VPN, remote locations or mobile users can be seamlessly and securely integrated into the corporate network. Dynamic routing and Multi-WAN Load Balancing ensure optimized connectivity and high operational reliability.

Optimized hardware and simple management

The compact gateway is equipped with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 2.2 GHz processor and 3 GB RAM, ensuring high network performance. The integrated 10G connectivity with SFP+ and multi-gigabit ports enables a scalable network infrastructure. Management is done centrally via the UniFi Application Suite, which offers intuitive configuration and real-time monitoring.

Not every access can be established encrypted via the direct route, and even if you use an encrypted connection for certain processes, the information about where you have connected remains visible. A VPN tunnel solves both problems by encrypting all network packets. Those who can read the data traffic from public access can only recognize a connection to the VPN gateway – the actual destination remains hidden.

QoS (Quality of Service)

The QoS function of this device allows you to reserve bandwidth for specific devices or applications. By recognizing application and device information and bandwidth requirements, it is guaranteed that high-priority data automatically receives the best possible connection. QoS also ensures that lower-priority applications, such as file downloads, never come to a complete standstill. This guarantees you reliable performance for important applications, even under high network load.
