Hiccup and Toothless lead hundreds of dragon warriors to defend Dragon Mountain, fighting Drago Bloodfist and his gigantic army of dragon hunters and their dangerous war machines. The mighty Bewilderbeast, master of Dragon Mountain, decides to join Hiccup and his friends in the fight against Drago.

Hiccup tries to fulfill his dream by creating a peaceful dragon utopia. Meanwhile, Bijtkwijt discovers an untamed, elusive partner who causes Night Fury to leave.
