In a town inhabited by animals, a talent show is organized by the koala Buster Moon. He is the proud owner of a beautiful theater, which used to be very successful, but has now become old and dilapidated. Buster organizes a talent show as a last chance to save his beloved theater. Five finalists are in the spotlight: a mouse who lies and cheats, but can sing beautifully; a shy teenage elephant with stage fright; an overtired mother of 25 piglets; a young gangster gorilla who wants to distance himself from his criminal family and a punk-rock porcupine who no longer wants to stand in the shadow of her arrogant boyfriend. All these animals audition in Buster's theater and share the dream that could change their lives.

In Sing 2, koala Buster Moon and his talented group of animal performers prepare the most extravagant performance ever in a metropolis full of entertainment, glitz and glamour. There's only one problem: they have to convince the world's biggest rock star to participate in this spectacle. Buster has made the New Moon Theater a huge success. Now Buster has his sights set on an even bigger challenge: putting on a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City.
