VERBATIM Store 'n' Go 1 TB External hard drives

Verbatim's portable Store 'n' Go hard drive offers high storage performance with a super-fast USB 3.0 interface. USB 3.0 offers data transfer speeds up to ten times faster than USB 2.0 (based on USB bus speed) with super-fast data transfers.

The portable Store n Go hard drive is powered by USB 3.0 (1 x USB 3.0 interface), but is also compatible with all USB 2.0 ports on your PC or laptop. No external power supply is required for the drive to function: plug n play.

Drives with a capacity of 2TB or less are formatted in FAT32, making them immediately usable on Windows and Mac OSx. Drives with a capacity of more than 2TB are formatted in NTFS, which is compatible with Windows systems. Mac users must reformat the drive in HFS+ to make it fully compatible with Mac OSx operating systems. HFS+ formatting can be performed using the Verbatim VHD Formatter located on the drive.

For added security, Nero BackItUp Essentials software is included to back up the hard drive of your laptop or PC. BackItUp Essentials provides an application that allows you to back up all your files, folders, and drives at any time. Alternatively, you can set up the automatic backup function for added security.

The Nero BackItUp Essentials software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 10 (not compatible with Mac OS).

Verbatim's portable Store 'n' Go hard drives also come with energy-saving Green Button software. Green Button software ensures that the hard drive does not spin when it is not in use, increasing efficiency and saving energy.

There are three options for the 'Sleep Setting'. You can activate the disk suspension after 10 minutes or in increments of 10 minutes up to 120 minutes. You can activate disk suspension immediately by double-clicking the Green Button icon on the desktop, or you can select 'Never Suspend the disk'.

The hard drives in this series are available in 12 colors:
