With the Vivid Green DuoFry View 5L, you can fry a large portion of fries in the big basket, or two snacks side-by-side in the two small baskets — all in one deep fryer with a capacity of 5 liters. The enamelled inner pot can go in the dishwasher, and thanks to the viewing window in the lid, you can keep an eye on the frying process without opening it. One large portion, or two smaller snacks

With the large basket, you can fry a generous portion at once. If you want to fry two items separately, such as bitterballen and cheese soufflés, you use the two small baskets together; you cannot combine the large and small baskets. After frying, hang the basket on the draining hook so excess oil drains back into the pan. Note: all baskets share the same oil, so a strongly seasoned snack can have a slight effect on the taste of what is fried alongside it.

Setting the temperature

Use the rotary knob to set the temperature between 150°C and 190°C. The oil will reach temperature within 3 to 5 minutes. The red light indicates the appliance is on; the green light turns off once the oil is ready.

During frying

Crumbs that fall through the basket can burn on the bottom. The cool-zone technology prevents this, keeping the oil clearer for longer. If something does get stuck, the enamelled inner pot releases it more easily — and it can go straight into the dishwasher.

Changing the oil

To change the oil, first remove the heating element and lift the inner pot out of the appliance. A min and max marking shows how much oil you need; it's approximately 5 liters when full.

Cleaning

The inner pot, baskets, and lid are dishwasher-safe. Wash the heating element by hand. The grease filter in the lid is not removable; clean it with warm water and a mild detergent or degreaser. The filter can also go in the dishwasher, but check it after the wash cycle.

Safe to use

Overheating protection automatically switches off the appliance at too high temperatures. A safety switch ensures the appliance only turns on if the heating element is correctly placed. The handles stay cool, so you can safely grip them during use. Never move the appliance with hot oil inside; wait until it has cooled down.

The dimensions of the appliance are 35.8 x 35.8 x 21.5 cm, with a weight of 4.4 kg. The cord is 0.85 m long.
