On Nov. 4, 1979, at the height of the Iranian revolution, militants storm the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. During the chaos, six Americans manage to escape. They go into hiding in the home of the Canadian ambassador. Knowing that it is only a matter of time before the six are discovered and killed, CIA agent Tony Mendez is called in. Mendez is an exfiltration expert and comes up with a plan to free the six. A plan so risky and unimaginable, you would only expect to see it in a movie.
