BATMAN BEGINS In Batman Begins, celebrated director Christopher Nolan recounts the genesis of the legendary Dark Knight. After his parents are murdered before his eyes, embittered heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world in search of a way to fight injustice and confront criminals with their own greatest weapon, fear. With the support of his loyal butler Alfred (Michael Caine), police inspector Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and his ally Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), Wayne eventually returns to Gotham City to unleash his alter ego on the world: Batman. A masked avenger who, with his steeled body, brilliant mind and high-tech arsenal of weapons, will battle the dark forces that threaten the city.

THE DARK KNIGHT The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, is also directed by Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale once again plays the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his unrelenting fight against crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and offi cier of justice Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to eradicate organized crime in Gotham once and for all. This triumvirate works very well. But soon the trio falls prey to an emerging criminal mastermind called The Joker (Heath Ledger). This one plunges Gotham into anarchy and almost forces Batman to cross the line between hero and avenger.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES It's been eight years since Batman (Christian Bale) sacrificed everything by taking the blame for Harvey Dent's death, then disappeared into the night. With the arrival of a cunning burglar (Anne Hathaway) and ruthless maniac Bane (Tom Hardy), Bruce Wayne is driven from his self-imposed exile and forced to fight for the fate of Gotham City ... and himself.
