General Owens learns that Stalin's secret weapon, a mysterious red gas that turns fallen soldiers into bloodthirsty fighting machines, has fallen into the wrong hands. Rumor has it that a barrel has exploded at a shadowy Bulgarian army base. Owens sends his best soldier, to investigate what is going on. When he arrives at the weapons depot, he finds that many have already been infected by the mysterious gas. When another barrel explodes, the inevitable battle against the dead begins....
