Comfortable and safe at the touch of a button

When dialing a phone number works easily, the rest of the experience becomes pleasant as well. That's exactly why the E290 big-button phone's ergonomic keypad makes it so comfortable to use. The large keys are backlit and clearly marked for clear legibility. You can save important contacts, such as in case of an emergency, on one of the two hot keys (A and B). The Direct Call feature is useful when you want to call only one number from the handset. A single press of any button then dials this number.

Large font, perfect contrast

With the Gigaset E290, you set the large, black-and-white screen to the desired contrast ratio so that you always maintain optimum legibility. In jumbo mode, all the numbers you select appear extra large, the menu is extremely easy to navigate and one symbol per page is shown on the display. Conversely, you can also set up the phone with ease: even the very longest phone numbers then fit on the display without any problem.

As loud and clear as you want it

With flexible volume adjustment and a versatile range of ring tones for incoming calls, you can fully customize all of the Gigaset E290's audio features to suit your needs. You can use the earphone volume at five different sound levels, and with the amplifier you can even double the volume of your current call. Whether you hold the handset to your ear or use hands-free mode; you can always rely on the premium audio and clear voices. The frequency range easily tunes to your hearing, making calling a fine experience. And because the phone is hearing aid compatible, it works comfortably for all ages.

Easy setup, easy to use

Using the phone can really be so enjoyable, thanks to the convenient features offered by the Gigaset E290. It starts with installation: thanks to plug-and-play technology, setting up your phone is a breeze: unpack, plug in and start. The phonebook offers space for as many as 150 numbers, the blacklist for 32. With the latter numbers, you can choose whether the calls should be completely blocked, or only displayed visually (i.e. without sound signal). The same applies to anonymous calls from blocked numbers. This way, you won't be bothered by annoying callers.

Keep your home phone nearby at all times thanks to the additional handsets

We all recognize it: the moment you're in the kitchen preparing dinner, the phone in the living room rings. Normally it is not possible to answer it in time. When you expand your Gigaset landline phone with individual handsets, you always have a phone within reach. Whether you are in the kitchen, the living room or your home office. The Gigaset E290HX complements your current phone perfectly, up to four separate handsets can be added. This can be done directly to the base station or directly to a DECT or CATiq router. ECO DECT for radiation-free calls

Like the other Gigaset cordless phones, the E290 series models are equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. The phones are radiation-free in standby mode, even when using multiple handsets. This requires both the base station and the handsets to support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the handset and base station. The shorter this distance, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can deactivate ECO DECT at any time.
