Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 takes place one year after the events of the first film. The trauma surrounding Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza has grown into a local legend and forms the inspiration for the new city festival Fazfest. Mike Schmidt, along with police officer Vanessa Afton and his little sister Abby, tries to get their lives back on track while continuing to protect Abby from the true, horrific history behind the animatronics. When Abby secretly returns to Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, she unintentionally unleashes a new series of terrifying events. An ancient evil awakens, hidden in the original pizzeria, where the ghost of a girl and the sinister Marionette gain control over the animatronics. As old secrets about the origin of Freddy’s are revealed, Mike and Vanessa must once again fight to save Abby from the spirit of serial killer William Afton and the vengeful forces he has left behind.
